The End Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Children (OSEAC) Coalition, a group of organizations committed to advocacy to further policies that protect children online, applauds Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for his efforts to expedite passage of several child protection bills under unanimous consent.

“All these bills have passed the Judiciary Committee, unanimously. We have different views about the way the world should work, but we come together on this,” said Sen. Graham (R-SC). “We’re going to keep doing this until we get the result we think America needs.”

The End OSEAC Coalition is grateful for the many champions in Congress who are actively pursuing solutions to #ProtectKidsOnline. We especially appreciate the bipartisan support from members in attendance yesterday, including Sens. Durbin (D-IL), Cornyn (R-TX), Klobuchar (D-MN), Grassley (R-IA) and Hawley (R-MO).

“Our members are encouraged by the recent Senate action to elevate the critical issue of ending online sexual exploitation and abuse of children,” said Coco Lammers, who is Director of the End OSEAC Coalition. “The rapid increase of these crimes warrants congressional action to regulate the technology industry, and there are several bills that would produce effective results.”

The End OSEAC Coalition supports multiple bipartisan bills currently awaiting action from Congress, all of which take steps to help stop the exploitation of kids online: EARN IT Act (S.1207 / H.R.2732), END Child Exploitation Act (H.R.6246), Kids Online Safety Act (S.1409), Project Safe Childhood Act (S.1170 / H.R.2661), REPORT Act (S.474 / H.R.5082), SHIELD Act (S.412 / H.R.3686) and STOP CSAM Act (S.1199).

“Today and every day, we cry out for justice. We hope that lawmakers and tech owners will hear our voices and ensure the safety of children on their platforms. Let us work together so that online platforms prioritize the safety and well-being of every child, so all children can maintain their innocence and grow up without fear. The time for action is now.” – The End OSEAC Survivors’ Council
